DIRECTIONS |
From Seligman,
drop off I40 at exit 121 and head west on Route 66 about 37 miles,
passing through downtown (or what there is of it) Peach Springs.
Along the south side of the highway you'll find a poorly marked
turnoff that heads south about 1 mile to the right-of-way at Truxton
station. Head railroad east about 2 miles along the north side of
the tracks to Cherokee station.

COMMENTS |
You are pretty
far from real civilization, so be very well prepared out here. During
the winter, it is very cold and snowstorms are not uncommon if there's
inclement weather. The path along the right-of-way is VERY silty
and I am sure that during wet weather you could become a permanent
piece of the scenery out here if you don't know how to manage mud.
